Verdiales
Ancient folk song and dances (cantaores and bailaores), the Verdiales are the peasant precursor of the fandango and the flamenco. Played in the Andalusia's province of Malaga, the origin of the Verdiales folk songs and dances can be found in the ancient pre Roman (Phoenician, Grieg, Egyptian), and in the sensual cordex dances from the times of the Roman Empire. Today the Verdiales pandas (Verdiales' bands) preserve all those ancient traditions and the mystic of the frenetic music played in the streets by non professional musicians.
